Hi Mark,
I'm a healthy 30 year old who works out 3x per week with weights.
I sent you a message about 3 months ago about sudden testicle pain and low libido.
Well I finally received some saliva test results back from the lab and the results indicate really low free Testosterone and DHT levels.
Now some background info for you - for the last 3 years I have been using saw palmetto to block the damaging effects of DHT on my scalp.
Not thinking there were any negative side effects to this herb I took too much daily over this time span.
Now I haven't used the blocker for the last two months and my libido is very slowly going back up.
My question to is do you know of any herbal supplements that would bring my DHT levels back to the upper ranges?
And another thing - how is my free T low if I'm the strongest I have ever been right now?
Thanks for any info back.
Saw Palmetto, DHT, and Hair Loss!
Hi Scott,
Regarding the increased strength and low free testosterone levels, I'm as baffled as you are.
Saliva tests aren't always the most accurate, so that's probably where I'd look first.
If it turns out that the tests were accurate, you may want to consider the following.
DHT Levels!
I look at DHT a lot like I do DHEA.
Personally, I don't worry too much about either.
In my experience, if you take care of the big 3...
Testosterone
Estrogen
HGH
DHT levels will normalize automatically.
The real key here seems to be an optimal balance of testosterone and estrogen.
As a matter of fact, this balance is critical.
Get the mix just right, and your sex drive will increase, and hairloss levels will diminish as well.
So, if I were in your shoes, I'd take steps to...
Increase Testosterone Production
Normalize Estrogen Levels
Free up Bound Testosterone
Then to add icing to the cake, I'd work to boost human growth hormone levels, using natural methods.
Follow a similar plan, and I think you'll be pleasantly surprised at the results of your next test.
Good luck!
